HCG Diet Update

Well, I have been lagging behind on my updates on the diet... you may be thinking. Humm.. did I fall off the wagon, cheat and pig out on some yummy Johnnies number 9 burger, the new Taco Bell 5 layer burrito, a nice large chicken fried chicken salad from Charlestons, or Yummy... sushi? NO NO NO and NO! I am staying strong, and today Saturday morning weight is 162.2 pounds! So I am way motivated today to stay strong, and I am not as hungry as I have been lately. But very moody, cranky and irritated. Which people who know my IRL (in real ife) would be totally shocked at my mood, and yesterday Braddock would look at me and smile and say smile mommy!

Here is what I ate yesterday.

1 cup of pineapple in the morning.
Oscar Mayer Sliced Chicken
1 egg with 2 egg whites scrambled with green pepper
Apple, cooked in a little bit of water with Truvia and Cinnamon.

This round I have lost over 10 pounds.

Now for today, Satuday. My night is about over, so here is what I ate so far.

1 hard boil egg
Filet (steak)
Grilled Onion

Will probably be eating an apple like last night here in a bit. Also, I drank alot of Tea today. I had a busy day, went car shopping, store, etc.. it was a fun day. Let my little one stay with dad! I will keep you posted on my weight tomorrow!

Diet Journal Update: Day 7, 8 and 9

Well, I am back to update you all with what is going on with the diet. My small cheating the other day, I believe caused me to not lose weight on day 7 and 8. Yesterday I was up about .8 pounds (165.8) but today day 9, I am happy to be 164 pounds. I hope to be able to squeeze into a size 10 soon (I have not tried yet) it should be pretty  close to that size. Maybe another 5 pounds or so... well now for my gallbladder problem. I am going to now have surgery end of March, that way I do not have to stop the diet midway through. So, now for my eating. I have eaten boring food.

Asaparagus, Eggs, Jay Robb Shake, and strawberries on day 7. Yesterday I ate (day 8), Oscar Mayer deli Chicken, strawberries. chicken and asparagus. Coffee in the morning. Believe it or not, I am not as hungry as I was at the beginning. Don't freak out, but on the HCG diet you are limited to foods you can eat, no lotions or oils, and the key to the diet is reseting your body to be able to maintain a your weightloss.

Go to the tabs at the top of this blog to read about my progress, if you are just joining me! I have now lost about 8 pounds this round, and have 15 more days to go!

Homeland Shopping: Three Easy Tips to Save You Money on Grocery's

shopping,save money

Here is a look at my shopping trip today. I was able to go early in the morning after I took my son to preschool, and grabbed a few coupons, and wanted to get my total above $25 because I had a coupon from the Thunder Game (the $5/ $25 coupon is found inside the free booklet they pass out when you enter the Ford Center)  My plan is to make hamburgers tonight, so I needed to buy meat, buns and milk for sure. You want to know some of my tricks. I am going to share.

1.  Buy reduce sale meats. This can save you almost 1/2 off your meat purchase. Homeland grounds their meet fresh everyday, so most mornings there should be meat for sale. Mine I bought was $1.69 for 80/20.

 2. Milk and Dairy Reduced sale. My store marks their milk down on Sundays and Wednessdays. .99 or .50 for 1/2 gallon. Just to say milk in a very cold refridgerator will stay good for a few days after expiration date.

3. Use coupons on items you can get cheap or free when able. If you are not going to use the product, then donate to a food pantry or shelter!

You want to know how much I spent on above items?
Under $10.
 ($9.63 to be exact!)

CVS: Huggies Baby Wipes Large Refill Pack $2.50

I was reading a post made Collin, at Hip2Save about Huggies large refill packs ringing up for $2.50. Some people said you may need to buy 2 to get this price. Others say their scanner scanned for $7.99, but the register rung them up at $2.50. A few weeks ago, there were coupons in the paper.

Oh, another bonus... where you scan your card to get coupons, you may get a $2 off huggies coupon and a $$/$$ coupon to make this deal even better! If you were able to do this deal, us know how it went!

HCG diet Days 4, 5, and 6

Sorry I have neglected you all on my weight loss journal. Today I went to see the Surgeon that I have picked to take my gall bladder out, and had to do confession, which means spill the beans on my dieting history. You see I have had 2 gallbladder attacks, and they don't feel so good. Then I had an ultrasound and it showed my tiny little gallstones swimming around having a good ole time. I am not really sure what causes this problem but apparently 1 out of 3 people I talk to say they have had theirs removed. So, I asked the Dr. about you know the gallbladder flushes, etc. His comment was hogwash, did not believe that those worked. However, Dr. did not think the HCG diet was a bad idea, and said he had Dr. friends on the diet... so that was a huge bonus! He said I could continue, but quit before surgery then I may resume after surgery. So, basically that is the situation as it stands. Surgery on March 2, if I should be brave enough to go through with it!  But here is how the past few day went. Refer back to the last entries to see what the diet is all about.

Day 4:

Weight 166.8 pounds

Ate: 1 egg w/ 2 egg whites, 3 oz chicken, cucumber, apple, some coffee and tea

Day 5:

Weight 165.8 pounds

So, today I go to church and the have a speghetti dinner, Reggie Smith attended the dinner and signed autographs, and there was an auction for NFL jerseys. I survived and did not eat anything.... yeah. So here is what I ate today.
Oscar Mayer Chicken slices, apple by dinner I was starving and made chicken with worchester sauce (had 1 g sugar and 1 gram carb) little onion and 3 mushrooms.  Strawberries for a snack. It was so delicious... as my eating has been so boring. I was cranky, moody and hungry.

Day 6:

Weight 165.2 pounds (not a huge loss, was it what I ate for dinner?

Bad  Bad Bad day, don't tell but I did cheat on some banana bread I made, I had to.. I was bummed Dr. called said to stop diet in a few days scheduled surgery for etc...other than that I ate, strawberries, hard boiled egg, and an egg white (had to share with 3 yo he wanted some)
I also drank a Lipton Green Tea (diet) which I never did on my first round of the diet!
So it was a huge fail.. today, I probably will not lose any weight. So I got to stay strong, and continue on... I never told you my goal weight. When all said and done, I would like to be about 135 pounds.
Thanks for all your support.

I am not a Dr. and this is all my opinion my experiences, etc. I am not endorsing this diet.

Update: HCG Diet Day 3 Results

HCG Weight Loss Cure Guide this is the book I bought when I began the diet in November of 2009. (this is an affiliate link with Amazon)

Today is Day 3 of the VLCD. I weighted in this morning at 167.8 pounds.
It is about 2:00 pm central time and I am feeling a bit cold, and a little ditzy.. I remember feeling like this on the last cycle of the diet I did in December. But the feeling did not last to long.

What I ate today: (Friday)

Chicken Sliced, Oscar Mayer brand 3 oz.

Tea              Steak
Water          Tomato
Apple           strawberries
Green Tea

Background of the diet, is from Dr .Simeons. It is a very strict diet, and lots of science behind it. I did tons of research before I began this diet. Also another thing to note, is you must stay away from all oils and lotions while following his protocol.

I will add to this post, later. So check back. I am going to add tomorrows updates on this post, to save on space on the blog, and hope to be posting deals soon as I find them!

Saturday, Day 4 VLCD ( Day 6 drops)
Weight 166.8

Oh, I am not a Dr. and this post as with all my diet posts are my opinions and my experience.

Time Management Tips

Managing time seems to be the hardest part of motherhood. There has to be a better way, right? I mean, a normal day for a mom can consist of empting the dishwasher 2 times, 3 meals, 3 times dish duty, trash out, floors swept, beds made, baths taken, legs shaven, hair washed, make up on, hair fixed, playing toys, computer time, shopping, I have to stop this on going list as I am totally getting exhausted about thinking about all that is done by stay at home mothers all day long! So, some how we have to figure out a method that works best for each individual situation. I have been thinking, and this is what I have come up with to help with time management issues.

  • Start your day by getting dressed, bed made, hair and make up done!
  • Set a time where you play 100% with your child
  • Set up a computer time, like your own alone time
  • Use a timer to get tasks done, so you are not going from one room to the other, stay focused
  • Make a chore chart for self, for weekly cleaning
  • Don't over schedule your childrens activities
  • Say NO, to requests more often. If you are the type to be in charge of to much at kids schools
  • Take a look at your typical day, see if there is any habit that needs to be changed
  • PRAY
Now some of you super moms, probably do all these things. Some may be pretty good at doing most of these, and me well... I have to be honest, I need to follow my own suggestions, because if I did, I would be probably be alot less stressed.

Disney World Here I Come!

Tomorrow, I am packing up (well I packed today) and headed on a plane to Orlando, Florida for fun in the sun! (well, hopefully there will be sun forecast is a bit chilly) However, no complaining here, as I leave the below freezing temps, all 3 children behind for my oh so dear sweet hubby to watch our pride and joys for 4 days, 3 nights! I sure hope he doesn't call the airlines to fly me home early, as our youngest child can be quite a challenge. I am not worried, they will survive on Taco Bell, Pizza, and whatever else you can get through the drive through!

So, why am I going to Disney? Well, there is a great event called the Disney Social Media Moms event, and I am going. We could have brought the whole fam, but some people in the family have to work, go to school, and do all those fun things, and I was the only one who could get away. Not to mention, my hubby has been traveling a bit lately. ( 3 trips in less than a month) Well, I went on 2 of them, but whos counting. We do not keep score so this is not a get even trip. We did go to Disney in 2000, that was my first trip, we even went over Valentines! That was when we only had our 2 sweaty boys, now we are blessed with 3 sweaty boys! (woops, I mean sweet)

This event is hosted by 5 Minutes for MomWalt Disney World, Resourceful Mommy Media,
Mom Bloggers Club and Mom Select.

So, I am hoping to meet tons of other Bloggers, face to face, in real life (IRL) my online friends and spend sometime with my friends Consumer Queen and MomRN fellow Oklahomans!

So, I have my winter, fall and summer clothes packed. You never know what the weather will be like this time of year, and yes I totally over packed! But hey, it is just me and my suitcase and laptop, and New Moon. (do I need to tell you that is a Twilight Series book?) Yes, I am just reading the books and have to finish the last 10 pages of Twilight tonight before I hit the bed!

I will be sharing my fairytale adventures soon, however I ran out of time and could not find a coupon so I skipped out of buying  myself the Cinderella Dress, so I guess that picture will have to wait! LOL...
So Hi Ho Hi Ho it is off to fun I go!

Disclosure: This trip was extremely reasonable, ($350 for up to 4 people) therefore I am disclosing this info, and I did pay my fees for the trip and airfare. All opinions are mine, true facts as I see it!

Giveaway: 5 Second Rule Myth Busted use Clorox

Oh dear, have you heard the news? The 5 second rule is false.. items that drop on the floor, picked up and consumed have just as many germs as if they were on the ground much longer! What is a mom to do? All those cheerio's floor parties are now over. Talk about no fun. How can this be? Tell me Samantha Bee, it is not true! But all she says is yes yes yes..  I still can't believe all  the germs that can come in contact with items when all they do is fall to the ground, say it is not so.... What is a mom to do? Clorox take me away... I mean germs away! Do you have a funny 5 second rule? Clorox may want to use yours and put it on facebook! So please share, can't wait to read your funny stories!

So, I have been trying to think of any of my son's crazy stories, and this one comes to mind. When my son was high chair age, he would eat his yummy foods, like peas, carrots, peaches, meats, etc... and then when he was done, he wasted no time in the act of throwing, or should I say launching the food particles all over the kitchen! He would just laugh, and think it was so funny. Now, he is almost 4, and still will throw, drop his food, a little more sutle about doing so and it is not so cute!

Check out more about Clorox and how to use bleach to clean everything from toys to sippy cups! Here at and Samantha Bee on her funny and surpising ways to use clorox for everyday purposes!

To Enter this giveaway to win a Clorox surprise pack worth $20 follow these steps. Giveaway ends February 10. 2010.

So do this first:
Please do tell us a funny 5 second rule story? Clorox may put it on their facebook! If by chance there is no story that you would care to repeat, tell us who is more likely to follow the 5 sec rule in your house.

Extra Entries:

1. Suscribe to my blog
2. Tweet Giveaway and Follow @Clorox On Twitter use this Debunk the 5 Second Rule Myth and Win $20 in Clorox Products #5SecRule

For more blogs holding this same contest go and check out  with the Consumer Queen she will have other blogs with this same giveaway! So, the time is now to win. Good luck, I have to go now and start cleaning.

Dislclosure: I was/am being given a gift card for this post for clorox.
