My life with an almost 3 year old!

Here is a tidbit about the hectic life I am leading at the moment. So you can see I am a real mom, real person with real drama.

First, my 16 year old, is now driving around town, well not really around town, but to school and back, and a few other places as well. It has been nice, until his truck needed a bit of work, so it is in the shop. Husband said it should be ready to pick up today sometime. Hopefully so, because it is sure nice that he drives himself to and from school. He runs track, and practices can run short or long, you never know when he will be done, so it is nice when he can just drive himself home.

The 13 yo, well he is a teenager, with emotional drama. I swear he is my girl I never had. He has a cell phone, and wants texting so bad... he is begging for it. Only reason for not letting him have it is mainly I am afraid he will get himself into trouble with it, by not using common sense when texting friends etc...
He is my baseball player, and pretty good at it. His coach is bummed his best Catcher, my son, will miss tournament this weekend, due to a Family Wedding. Makes me feel good that he will be missed, but not to worry, we have probably about 6 more tourney's to go.. plus 9 more league games.

Now for the extra fun part... my sweet blue eyed almost 3 year old, does not want to nap, or go to bed, ever! He is constantly on the move, and this is my boy that used to be on a perfect schedule. Somehow, he is wanting to run his own day, and in the meantime I am getting nothing done around the house. I am exhausted, and totally admire those moms out there with 2 or more little ones under the age of 5, people say do you want to have another one.. (child) I am like, I am getting to old for this. Not really, I am in my 30's, but still 3 is enough! Now... once again, I will go try to get this little one to nap, and then off I go to run errands when my 13 year old gets off the bus.

Easter Dinner Easy Recipes

Easter is tomorrow, and is the day Jesus Rises from the dead, and we all rejoice, as we are saved by Grace, through his blood shed. We take this day and remember the wonderful miracle that happened many years ago, by attending church, and have fellowship with our friends and family. Tomorrow, my family will be going to my Aunts's House, and we will have Easter Dinner.

There will be around 30 family members, I am the oldest grandchild, of 15. There are now, 7 (would be great grandchildren) but my Mimi and Papa are both now in heaven. My aunt's, uncles, cousins, siblings, and my parents will all attend! So, needless to say, we all pitch in and bring part of the dinner, and this is what I am making, and thought I would share.

Pink Fluff...(that is what we call it)

1. 1 Large tub of Cool Whip (can use light or reg.)
2. 1 can Cherry Pie Filling
3. 1 can Eagle Brand Milk (aka condensed milk)
4. 2 cups marshmallows
5. 1 can of mandarin oranges (drained)

Mix these 5 ingredients together, and chill about 1 to 2 hours before serving.
(can add coconut, or pineapple, nuts if desired)

I am also bringing deviled eggs, what is Easter without these yummy eggs.

I make mine with a yolk mixture of Mayo, mustard, and then I put them back in the white part of the egg and sprinkle with paprika. I chill them in the refridgerator until ready to serve.

So, that is what I will be making.

Vado by Creative Pocket Video Camera Giveaway!

I have been so into pocket cameras lately, and the most recent one I have been able to try is the Vado, by Creative. SOme of the features I enjoy are the 2 inch screen, so you can see what you are recording. Along with, the easy to use buttons, just play, record, delete, and that is pretty much it. No long directions to read, just an easy to use camera. The picture quality is good, I would not say fabulous, but it is good for an everyday mini camera that is easy to tote around in your bag. Shopping at Homeland Grocery Store Today

This is a mess up, on what to do when shopping, so you can benefit the most! Well, here is what to do..

Steps:

1. Entering the store, take a Store Flyer, you will not remember what you are doing in the store, if you neglect this step.

2. Do not assume, you know the deals.

3. Check on your calculator on what you intend to spend, after coupons, to see if it is close to how much the cashier will be asking you for at the end of transaction.

So, do you want to know what I did? Well I printed my Kellogs Coupons, HEREm make sure you print some of these or other coupons from ME ; ). Then I bought, 4 boxes of Frosted Flakes, and then 2 boxes of Raisin Bran, hoping to get these for $12 minus my $3 in coupons, to pay $9 for cereal, and get 2 catalinas for milk back.

Well, did not have the ad, and did not know that Raisin Bran was not on the deal, but it was on sale, so I paid $18 minus $3, for cereal, instead of my original scenerio, which I messed up, and would have probably caught my mistake if I did not have other items in my shopping cart. Hence, this is why I like to shop deals seperately then regular shopping!

Also, on a side note, if you buy 7 boxes of Kellogs Cereal, you will get 3 catalinas for free milk! If you buy 6, you get 2 Free Milk Catalinas

And, then there were peelies, on 24 pack Coke and Dr. Pepper Products, for $2 off 2/ 24 packs, which are on sale for $5.99 a 24 pack this week!
